South Sudan become 28 states instead of 10

The President of the Republic of South Sudan, RSS announced on South Sudan TV, SSTV, on Friday 2nd October 2015, the following new states, making the RSS into 28 states in total instead of 10 states formerly.  The 28 States of Decentralized South Sudan are :


(a). Equatoria Based-States. 1- Imatong State (Torit). 2- Namunyang  State (Kapoeta). 3- Maridi State (Maridi). 4- Amadi State (Mundri). 5- Mudway State (Yambio). 6- Juba State (Juba). 7- Trekeka State (Trekeka). 8- Yie River State (Yei).

(b). Bhar el Ghazal Basee-States 9- Wau State (Wau). 10- Aweil State  (Aweil). 11- Lol State (Raja) 12- Aweil East State (Wanjok). 13- Twich State ( Mayendid Abun). 14- Gogerial East State (Kuajok). 16- Tonj
State (Tonj). 17- Eastern Lake State (Yirol). 17- Western Lake State  (Rumbek). 18- Gok State (Pngeik).

(C). Upper Nile Based-States. 19- Northern Lich State (Bentiu). 20-  Southern Lich State (Leer). 21- Rowon State (Pariang). 22- Eastern  Nile State (Malakal) 23- Jonglei State (Bor). 24- Western Nile State
(Kodok). 25- Western Yod State (Ayod) 26- Eastern Rieh State (Akobo)  27- Latjor State (Naser). 28- Boma State (Pibor)
